When the sun rose today,
So did my eyelids,
Instead of seeing normality of an early morning greeting
I wasn’t instead met…
With the hearing of a new day
The darkness of a continuous night
With tears…
I could only feel,
Unsure of where they fell
Even who was around to see each droplet
Just like every day that proceeded
Reaching for you remains pointless
So I crawl towards the echoes
Relying on memory
As my calls for you have always returned voided
Before when I had it all
You took me for all my worth
Left me on this ground looking up
Blinded by the hurt
Thinking my first sight
At the instance trouble arouse
