We smiled like the sun and moon

In awe of the wonders

The amazement of the other

And yet...

Only the stars and blue skies 

Knew what the universe 

Was secretly arranging...

Your glow lit up

The cloudiness of my existing 

Just the thought

Of you hearing my thoughts 

Directed much need sunshine

Only my fizzling hope and dreams 

To allow happiness to genuinely emerge 

Where each touch

Every syllable

Inspired the conquering of another day

I've been running for far too long

Fighting way too hard 

Gasping for faintest mean of living

So numb from everyday survival 

Until inevitably presented me

With the greatest of unknowns 

One i never knew...

My heart and soul needed...

Understanding the peace 

My mind and spirit wanted...

Although it's so surreal 

The truth remains
