Dad your name carries on

I'm so sorry

The family fell apart

I tried to do your will

Yet and still

Deep wounds never heal

Yesterday I sat on the side of the bed

Just to be struck 

With the similarities of you and I instead

I hurt most days at this age

Instead of complaining 

I just pull inspiration from your page

I wish just as much I've hoped

But I just decide to close the chapter

And write my own without disrespecting you
