Universal Appreciation
Can't see me when I'm drifting between Iight years
That heat you feel is my proximity to the sun
Been melting polar mountains
That has stood for eons
Not carrying a cross
Just not mine to bear
Sat in a dark hole
To look up six feet
Watched the rain pour down
On a sunny day
Heard the screams
Woke up in a panic
Realized it wasn't a dream
My soul was being arrested
Quietly my spirit evaporated
Electrocuted my flesh
Gone is the commotion
Birthed is the silence
Tranquil is my space
Serene is my existence
No longer fighting like hell
Just to obtain a taste of heaven
Nor am I so consumed with getting to heaven
That I make everyone's life hell
In this calmness
There are no expectations
Just another moment...
Of universal appreciation
