Into The Future

As today unfolds

I reflect upon yesterday 

The disappointments

How despair felt

When it was suddenly introduced 

The moment I shook hands

With an unknown opportunity 

Where I eventually had the courage

To stand present to embrace 

Living

If only for the possibility of one...

Just one gratifying moment...

Without yesterday...

This present...

This moment...

Wouldn't exist 

It was every good...bad...and indifferent 

Decision...

That catapulted me into...

Today

Which was then my

Future

So I thank myself for..

The opportunities...

By creating each possibility...

To either fail or succeed...

Then within same understanding...

There is no success without failure 

Failure only exist when..

There is no attempt to proceed...

Into the future
